Austin has lived in Oregon for his entire life. He attended the University of Oregon where he graduated in 2018 with a double major in Spanish and International Studies. Throughout his high school and college years he dedicated his studies to the importance of community development and non-profit work. Not only does Austin speak Spanish but he also studied French for a year and traveled throughout France for a month. Austin enjoys traveling and lived abroad in Argentina for three months where he explored the many sights around the country. Austin has always believed that community is important which lead him to intern for the Portland Boys and Girls Club after he graduated from college. He highly values volunteer opportunities and is always looking for ways to give back to the community of Portland.
During the winter Austin enjoys skiing and loves to go camping during the spring and summer. He enjoys hiking in Mt. Hood forest where he likes to rest in his hammock while enjoying a nice snack.
