Sensory Play Social Skills Group For Ages 5-7
8 Tuesday sessions 4:00–5:00pm  (4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26)
This group is geared towards children who need support with peer interaction, focusing on positive social behavior and social communication skills. This group combines movement, sensory based strategies, social games and play to increase social skills. Emphasis is placed on playing with peers, learning how to enter and exit play, problem solving and negotiation, taking turns, sharing, and cooperation. It is limited to 8 participants. This group may be covered by health insurance.

Social Skills Group For Ages 8-13
8 Tuesday sessions 5:15-6:15pm (4/7, 4/14, 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19, 5/26)
8 Wednesday sessions  4:30-5:30pm  (4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 5/27)
This group focuses on helping children make friends, strengthen communication skills, reduce anxiety, increase frustration tolerance, and build confidence so they succeed socially. This group uses a combination of educational and hands on activities that are fun and designed to help participants practice self reflection, self management, and social skills. It is limited to 8 participants. This group may be covered by health insurance.

Meet and Greet Social Skills Group For Ages 14-18
8 Wednesday sessions  5:45–6:45pm  (4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6,5/13, 5/20, 5/27)
This (tween/teen) group focuses on providing a forum to discuss concerns and identify possible solutions. Facilitated topics may include how to handle increased independence, bullying, and peer pressure. Individual concerns and questions will also be addressed. Groups are built around an activity to create a relaxed environment to encourage open discussion of topics and to build age appropriate social interaction skills. It is limited to 8 participants. This group may be covered by health insurance.

Occupational Therapy Group

Budding Writers Group For Ages 4-6
4 Friday sessions  10-11am    (5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22)
Do you have concerns about your child’s handwriting readiness for Kindergarten next fall? Now is a great time to help them build the skills they will need!  This group teaches basic skills to children to assist them in forming good habits that will carry over into their ability to color, draw, and begin to write letters and numbers. Parents attend with their child to learn how to support the development of visual and motor skills at home. Incorporating Handwriting Without Tears techniques, we will have fun learning while we play.  It is limited to 5 participants. This is not an insurance billable group. There is no credit for a missed group. The cost of the group series is $100.
